Almost!

Morning y'all!
I'm headed up to school now to finish up everything for Monday {I can hardly believe it's already here!} and hopefully I'll get some good pictures to share with you!

I just changed out my numbers {I had some Dr. Seuss numbers that I bought my first year of teaching up. I liked them BUT it was hard to visualize the number with the picture that was provided- it's hard to count 11 rings while they're hanging on antlers!}

You guys know how I love ten frames...so I thought I'd make my numbers to go along with what I teach my kids every single day in math!

I posted these as a freebie in my TpT store! Click HERE to snag them up!
Have a great weekend- hopefully I will be back soon to share the rest of my room with you!

Too Much Glue! And a giveaway!

Hi y'all-
I have a cute new book to share with you.
Too Much Glue (written by Jason Lefebvre, illustrated by Zac Retz, for release: September 2013), is the wacky story of a boy who, despite his teacher's warnings, lands himself in a sticky situation. The book is absolutely adorable and teaches a little lesson about creativity and {using only a touch of} glue! We all teach these expectations- and it is SO much more fun to incorporate literature into these lessons! I'm so excited about using it this year! If I taught 1st I would use it as a writing starter {see the freebie below- keep scrolling!} and I definitely will revisit this story toward the end of the year!

The good news is.. I am giving this book away to one of my followers!
I've teamed up with some friends of mine to offer you a giveaway with some fabulous "back to school" goodies!!

My friend Diandra from The Idea Hub is giving away a few back to school items. Diandra was the counselor at my school until {waaaaa!} she got promoted to a middle school in our district. She is amazing and has just begun her journey in blogging- go give her some love!

My friend Jill from ABC's and Polka Dots is giving away her Brown Bear Pack. Jill is seriously the SWEETEST teacher/ blogger out there! She and I "met" through blogging and she always leaves the most thoughtful comments on my blog. I adore her. And her blog and products are SO cute!

Interactive Aphabet Notebook!

Hi guys!

I am so excited about my newest creation! I worked all summer long last year to make my alphabet craftivity packet. Over the year as we covered each letter in my class we put them in our poetry notebook. This year, my students will have an alphabet notebook!  For each letter, we will do a craft, open ended response page, and a poem with alliteration for each letter!
It will make such a special keepsake for my students to have at the end of the year! If you're interested, check them out HERE. They will be 20% off this week only- and this product lasts ALL year long!

$100 giveaway!

I've heard the news...
A lot of you are back at school!

Those of you that aren't are probably feverishly preparing for the year. I know I am!  I have one more week until we go back for inservice, so I'm soaking up every. last. bit. of summer before the craziness of back to school officially begins!

I have a giveaway planned that I'm super excited about for you guys! School Outfitters contacted me about receiving $100 in school supplies {what teacher is going to pass up that opportunity?!} and give away $100 to a fan!
I just received my goodies this weekend {fast and speedy shipping!} and I am SO excited to have these supplies:
I now have a classroom set of white boards!! I'm over the moon! I had 5 in my classroom, so I've used plastic plates for the last few years when I've wanted to use them whole group. Can you say "interactive writing!?"

I'm super excited about the visual timer (this will be FAB for my kinders!) and the Hot Dots cards. It will be a great beginning of the year station!

So... if you were to win, what would you purchase?! Enter through the rafflecopter below and let me know! The giveaway begins today and goes through Saturday so enter quickly!

Washi tape FUN!

Soo...this whole washi tape thing.. I didn't get it.
I didn't get what all the hype was about.
It's pretty tape. That's fun, right? I wasn't sure what I could use it for..
So, I found some at Target the other day. I thought I'd give it a try.
I slapped some on my computer. You know, for fun.
Then I found myself decorating my writing folders with the stuff.
Then I bought some craft sticks to make name sticks..
It's official.
I have a problem!
I plan on writing my kids' names on the sticks once I get that roster {ahem..I'm super jealous of you all that get your lists in the summer! SO. JEALOUS!}
I also strategically used 5 different patterns of the Washi tape so I can also use these for picking groups when we're not working in our regular station groups. I think I'll make another set for reading pointers, and maybe I can find some star tape for space men! The list could go on and on!

I got this washi tape from scrapbooksteals.com - I know you can also purchase it from lots of stores on etsy or Michael's. But you can't but just one roll. This stuff will suck you in!!
What other ways can you think to use it?!
