ABC order

Ohmigoodness....is Spring break almost over already?!?! We haven't done much because both (BOTH!) of my littles have had double ear infections, yuck! Seriously, NO fun! It is a beautiful 80 degrees and sunny out today, but we're stuck inside running a 102 fever! :(  Good thing is... I don't have to use any personal days to take care of them. I always hate it when they're sick and I have to send them to grandparents! I know they take super duper care of them, but that's what mommas are for, right?!

Anyway, I made this little bunny ABC order station. I have not yet introduced alphabetical order to my kids, but most of them are definitely ready. I will introduce it using this station to practice. I have included two different recording sheets for differentiating (or if your kids are already good at it! :)

When I was student teaching, my super wonderful cooperating teacher wrote words on index cards and gave 5 kids at a time a card. The whole class had to work together to put the students in alphabetical order. This was in 3rd grade - they were working on looking at the 2nd and third letters, ha! We are not quite there yet ;) BUT I love the idea, and it is totally doable for my kiddos with beginning letters. We are working on using picture dictionaries, so I figure this is a great way of tying this in!

Here is the little pack, let me know if you grab it! Just click on the picture. And follow me, please!! I have lots of creative things coming!
